## Security check rules

- The check covers one hostname. It looks at TLS, security headers, exposed files, known CMS or plugin issues, and obvious misconfigurations. Findings and evidence only. No exploit attempts, no account creation by L&M, and no scanning of other hosts.
- It is not a penetration test, not a certification, and not a guarantee the site is secure. It can miss vulnerabilities.
- The authenticated test login is submitted only on the confirmation page after payment. Do not email the password. A usable password login must arrive within 24 hours. A magic link, an outside login, a second code, or no usable login means the public check runs and $250 is refunded. The $349 public check is not refunded under that rule.
- The full fee is refunded only if the check cannot start: the named domain is unreachable after one retry, or the authorization is incomplete. Once a reachable check has been run, that fee is earned.
- If the customer continues with a human-led assessment within 90 days of the report, the fee paid for the 24-hour check is credited toward it. If $250 was refunded, the credit is the $349 that remains. The credit is not cash and is not transferable.
